When it comes to Soul, R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop, San Antonio is probably at the end of a long list of cities such as New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia, & New York. I wanted keep up what groups like Mojoe have started but in my own way. And that's exactly what I did," says Devon.

Pirahna makes music that is about you as much as it is about them. You won't find any fluff in their artistic and inspirational style of modern rock, but instead you may be reminded of some of the great rock movements of our time. Pirahna's sound skirts the fine line between radio friendly arena rock and soulful alternative rock oozing with message. Their set is truly dynamic with equal part highs and lows, quiet and raucous.

Pirahna (expanded from the word "Prana") is fronted by San Antonio native Nathan Alvarado who honed his vocal and performance chops on the local cover band scene. More...

Memory of a Melody

Memory of a Melody is a collection of adjectives, a collection of personalities, a collection of influences. It’s Kevin Rhoden, JoshValenta, Mario Galdos, and Leo Garcia. It’s a means of expression, an outlet to others, an inlet to others, a reason to come together, it’s our version of the invisibly dominant force that is music. Its tales of heartbreak, love, a reason to unite, stories of experiences, a means of positivity in a time and place when its easy to be negative.

Memory of a Melody formed in April 2008. Leo and Mario had been in bands but never found the element needed to take it to the next level. More...

In a remarkable career that started out as a two piece Instrumental act , the Quartet of Amadeus Fernandez on guitars , Bryan Alfaro on acoustic guitar and vocals, Eric Miculka on drums and backing vocals and Derek Easterling on bass and backing vocals continues to push the standard for original rock music. Harmsway is an alternative rock band from San Antonio, Texas.  The group began in 2003 with just four friends jamming out to rock songs in a warehouse. The informal jam sessions morphed into parties that grew larger and larger. Eventually the band transitioned to playing a mix of covers and originals and now the focus is on originals. Members are Rob, lead vocals, Mark, lead guitar and background vocals, John, bass and background vocals and Mark, drums and background vocals. More...

Dround!

Dround

Dround was founded in the summer of 1999 on the Southside of San Antonio. Dround started out playing at local parties and bars around town. In 2001, after several weeks of recording and editing, the band members were finally content with a solid demo that would be available for purchase. Surprisingly the demo made it around town and to the bands delight, the turnout to their shows increased dramatically.

After a few band member changes the lineup was complete. Founding members Edward and Isaac added George on guitar and Mark on Drums. Everything had fallen into place.

Dround went back into the studio for professional recordings in 2007. Their unique sound attracted a promoter in the summer of 2008 and the band then began to play gigs at larger venues. The crowd reaction to their style of music was very overwhelming. The 4-track demo continues to sell out at every show.
