About Us!
What is Music Seen SA?
""Music Seen SA" is San Antonio's newest music resource. We have everything you need, from free music downloads to music videos and even our own interviews and TV shows. We are currently working on our very first episode of "Music Seen SA." Our inaugural show will feature a benefit concert that will be filmed at Speedway Sports Bar on May 9th - We hope you will come out and join us for that special event and help raise some money for the San Antonio Food Bank.
Why did you decide to start Music Seen SA?
The real reason we started all of this is, not only to have a successful TV show that features all of our talented bands, but also, to give those bands the resources they need to make it in the world of music. We are here as a one-stop-shop for everything music and will even feature local experts that will help you get informed. More importantly, we want to give back to the San Antonio Community.
What do you hope to accomplish with Music Seen SA?
What we really want from all of this is, not only to have a successful TV show that features all of our talented bands, but also, to give those bands the resources they need to make it in the world of music. We are here as a one-stop-shop for everything music and will even feature local experts that will help you get informed. More importantly, we want to give back to the San Antonio Community.
Why is giving back to the community so important to you?
We feel that we are really fortunate to have everything that we do in my life and that there’s a reason why we are all put on this earth. One of the things that our team has always been passionate about is music and, by taking on this project, we not only help San Antonio musicians, but we also have a chance to put on benefit concerts. These benefit concerts will generate revenue for us to give back to the community and we really hope that San Antonio gets behind us to make this project a local success story.
Thank You For Your Support!
Meet our host Chuck Cureau!
Chuck Cureau enjoys
a life most people only dream about.
Chuck currently is a host of the popular Discovery Kids series "Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls", where kids put up their decorating dukes and battle it out in an effort to transform each other's blasé bedrooms into spectacular spaces in just two days! This highly rated show was nominated for a 2006 Daytime Emmy award in the category of outstanding Special Class Series. But Chuck is also well-known to Discovery Kids viewers as co-host of the outrageous animal prank reality series Skunked TV. On Skunked TV he poses as a zookeeper, tourist or whatever other role it takes to spring hilarious hoaxes involving animals on unsuspecting kids and adults.
In addition to being a TV host, Chuck is an animal trainer, actor and karaoke champion.
Born into a military family, Chuck traveled the world as a child. He has lived in Greece, England and all over the United States. As a teen living in Europe, he hosted his own radio show, Chuck's Corner, on the Armed Forces Radio Network. After settling in San Antonio, Texas, he studied television journalism and acting. To take a step closer toward fulfilling his lifelong goal of becoming an actor and television personality, Chuck took a job as a tour guide at a SeaWorld San Antonio to improve his public speaking skills. He soon became fascinated with, and saw the benefits of training animals to educate and entertain the public. After much soul searching, Chuck decided to make a career change. Thus, at the age of 21, he taught himself to swim (no small feat for someone afraid to put his head underwater!) and took a job as whale and dolphin trainer. During his 20 years working with animals, Chuck has trained and performed with not only whales and dolphins, but also sea lions, walruses, otters, birds and many terrestrial animals.
No stranger to television, Chuck has appeared in dozens of local and national television commercials, industrial films, and radio spots. He also participates regularly in on-air fund-raising drives for San Antonio’s PBS station, and has appeared several times as guest co-host of the morning talk show "Great Day SA". During a stay in Hollywood, he appeared on The Drew Carey Show, JAG, Felicity,, and The Shield,. He also made regular appearances on The All New Captain Kangaroo Show, Shamu TV, and The Howie Mandel Show. Chuck has even shared the silver screen with Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslett in the motion picture The Life of David Gale, appeared in The Boys of Ghost Town, and co-starred in the independent film The Sunsetters.
Most recently Chuck was hired by the NBA champion basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs, to serve as in-arena host and PA announcer.
Currently a resident of San Antonio, Texas, where he continues to train animals, Chuck enjoys traveling and karaoke singing. He is the three-time winner of city karaoke tournaments, winning $1,000 each competition as well as a trip to Cabo San Lucas Mexico!
Meet our Co-host Lauren Kendrick!
A self
proclaimed beach lover, Lauren Kendrick was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. After seeing Entertainment Tonight at a young age, Lauren knew
she wanted to be a TV personality ‘when she grew up’.
Lauren and her family moved to Seguin for her last two years of high school. There she was involved in many activities including guest reporting for the school’s morning news show, Mat Cast.
After graduating, Lauren moved to San Antonio where she had her first taste of the TV world when she interned for KENS 5’s morning show ‘Great Day S.A.’ There she had the chance to learn the ropes of the TV business inside and out. She begged her boss to let her produce and host a segment, which he agreed to. After the first segment Lauren was hooked and knew she had to do more. So she continued producing and hosting the segment ‘Just 4 Women’.
After interning at KENS 5, Lauren went on to WOAI where she was a production assistant. Working for the evening news, morning news and ‘The Living Show.’ Lauren did everything from operate cameras, run the teleprompter, and floor direct. You name it she did it. After working at WOAI Lauren decided it was time to try her hand at acting. Lauren appeared on the NBC series ‘Friday Night Lights’ for two seasons as a cheerleader. Lauren also landed a role in the movie ‘Stop Loss’, starring Ryan Phillipe and Channing Tatum. When the Dallas Cowboys came in town for training camp, Lauren was the host of ‘Fanspeak’. The show focused on the experience the fans had while at training camp. Lauren got an up close look at America’s team, even getting to chat with Jerry Jones as well as Tony Romo and Jason Witten.
Lauren is currently a senior at Texas State University majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in electronic media. Although she was not born in San Antonio, she considers this her home. Lauren absolutely loves the small town feel of San Antonio and couldn’t imagine any place having better Mexican food.

Meet our Newest Blogger Dominique Garcia!
My name is Dominique Garcia. I was born and raised here in San Antonio and have lived here the majority of my life.
I have been a musician since I was 15 and a radio jock for the past 9 years. I have worked for such stations as 550AM KTSA, 102.7 KTFM, 104.3
Hit FM XHTO, 102.9 Da Bomb KNDA, and currently at Mix 96.1 KXXM. I have held many jobs in the radio industry from the most insignificant to a
full-fledged, full-time slot.
I humbly admit I do not know everything when it comes to radio and I will never claim that I do. However, I do know quite a bit about the
industry and am ecstatic to share my knowledge and personal opinions with you.
I also will be writing about local music and different events going on here in San Antonio. I am a strong believer in everything local.
Whether it is a local nightclub, a local business, or a local recording artist trying to do their thing in a city that is not always known
for musical talents.
